Every day, thousands of children and adolescents in New Mexico are denied affordable, high-quality health services because of basic inequities in this state. School-based health centers (SBHCs) bring the doctor’s office to the school, uniting health and education to transform the lives of students. Currently, New Mexico leads the nation with 84 SBHCs that serve thousands of our most vulnerable children and adolescents, although a patchwork of inefficient funding leaves many SBHCs unable to keep the doors open. The New Mexico Alliance for School-Based Health Care invites you to join us in our commitment to grow and sustain SBHCs for our children.

Your Donation Dollars at Work

Your generous contributions enable the NM Alliance to:

• Strengthen our advocacy efforts, resulting in increased funding and support for SBHCs.

• Build strategic partnerships between health and education.

• Support increased school-based health care for Native American students.

• Engage youth in improving the health of their peers, family, and communities.

• Build the capacity of SBHCs to continue providing high-quality culturally competent care that meets the needs of New Mexico’s children and adolescents.
